CANTON -- A Massena man in the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility has been charged with felony cocaine possession.
Timothy M. Berry, 38, was arrested after a tip to officials that he had a narcotic substance.
The investigation turned up 26.6 grams of a chunky white substance in his possession, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
A field test of the substance showed it to contained cocaine, and Berry was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and introducing dangerous contraband into prison, both felonies.
Berry was arraigned before Justice Cathleen O’Horo in Canton Town Court. The judge ordered Berry held without bail on the charges due to two previous felony convictions.
The case has been handed over to St. Lawrence County Court.
