WINTHROP -- A Massena man was charged Wednesday with stealing a 1957 Mercedes Benz stemming from a complaint first reported to state police Sept. 10.
Randall J. McCarthy, 50, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, felony, at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, officers said.
The incident reportedly took place on May 7, 2014, but the vehicle was not reported stolen until September.
The vehicle was taken from a storage garage located at 1613 County Route 49 in Winthrop, troopers said.
Officers said McCarthy was being held on $1,500 cash bail.
