MASSENA -- A Massena man was charged Tuesday with failure to comply with St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop June 30 on a 2012 Suzuki motorcycle at 137 mph.
Gary T. Deruchia, 24, was charged with failure to comply, two counts of speed in zone (137 mph in a 55 mph zone and 59 mph in a 30 mph zone), driving out of class, passing in a no pass zone and improper passing.
The alleged incident took place on U.S. Highway 11 and State Highway 68 in Potsdam and Canton.
Deruchia was released on appearance tickets returnable to Potsdam and Canton courts, deputies said.
