MASSENA — A Massena man was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine on Main Street Thursday afternoon, according to Massena police.
State and village police were on the scene of a methamphetamine lab discovered at 250 Main St. yesterday afternoon, according to Adam Love, Massena Police chief.
James A. Regan, 29, 250 Main St. Apt. 3, was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing methamphetamine, felony, officer said.
He was ordered held for arraignment.
Chief Love said a New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Response Team (CCSRT) was on the scene. He said their concern was for residents' safety and the building was evacuated.
Meth lab components are hazardous and highly flammable.
