CANTON — St. Lawrence County sheriff’s detectives charged a Massena man Sunday for allegedly assaulting a corrections officer at St. Lawrence County Jail on Aug. 15.
Blakely S. Houle, 19, was charged with second-degree assault, deputies said.
Houle, an inmate at St. Lawrence County Jail, allegedly became unruly during a visit, deputies said. Officers attempted to remove him from the visitation room and Houle reportedly pushed an officer into a metal door frame causing injury to the officer.
Houle was arraigned in Canton court and held on $2,000 bail.
