MASSENA -- A Thursday night altercation in Massena ended with a man being airlifted to SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse to have multiple facial fractures repaired after he was struck several times and his alleged attacker jailed on $15,000 bail.

His alleged attacker, Trevor J. Secore, 20, of 1109 Maple Ridge Rd., Brasher Falls is facing a felony count of second-degree assault.

His alleged victim, Matthew K. Barse, told police that he was at his home at 32 Ridgewood Ave. and Secore came by looking for his mother, Bobbi Jo Secore, who Barse is dating.
