MASSENA -- A Massena man was charged with a felony on Tuesday for allegedly using a counterfeit $100 bill to buy a cup of coffee in March.
Ronald J. Joubert, 23, of 1 Perkins Road is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny.
On March 26, Joubert allegedly used the counterfeit bill to buy a $1.24 cup of coffee from the Java Joint and received $98.76 in change, police said.
He was released with an appearance ticket, police said.
