MASSENA -- A village resident was jailed late Monday night after being charged with multiple child pornography counts.
Everette K. Drean, 52, of 80 Bayley Rd. is facing 14 felony counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
In a transcript of a question-and-answer interview with village police Investigator Jordan Jenks, Drean admitted downloading four images of naked children from a website. He told Jenks he believed they were 10 or 11 years old.
While executing a search warrant at his residence, police seized four laptop computers, two cell phones and a 500-gigbyte external hard drive, Drean told the investigator. He said they also found a seven-inch dagger in his stepson’s bedroom.
Drean was arraigned in Massena Village Court before Justice Eric Gustafson and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton in lieu of $5,000 bail.
