NORFOLK -- A Massena man is charged with identity theft for allegedly making charges to his ex-girlfriend’s debit card through her Paypal account.

Kevin S. Hughes, 24, of 96 Cook St. was charged at 12:40 p.m. Sunday with a felony count of second-degree identity theft.

Hughes allegedly bought $682.36 worth of designer clothes and footwear online using Brittany Claire’s debit card via her Paypal account on several occasions between Nov. 1 and Dec. 1, according to a statement from Bureau of Criminal Investigation Investigator Leslie Loran.
