MASSENA -- A Massena man is jailed after an alleged domestic violence incident where he dragged his wife by her hair and threw her from their porch after she refused to drive him to a bar.
Danny J. Joslin Jr., 33, of 74 Maple St. is charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
His wife, Susan L. Joslin, told police he asked her for a ride to a bar but she refused, and he shoved her into a wall and to the ground inside their home.
He then dragged her outside by her hair and threw her down the porch steps, then shoved her back to the ground and put his knee in her chest, court documents state.
Joslin Jr. is charged with criminal mischief because as she tried to call police, he slapped his wife’s phone from her hand, dislodging the battery, according to court documents.
He is charged with child endangerment because it allegedly happened in front of their daughter.
A neighbor heard the commotion and called police, according to the documents.
Joslin Jr. was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $500 bail, police said.
