MASSENA -- A Massena man is in the county lockup accused of breaking another man’s jaw in a bar fight last month.
Christopher J. McGregor, 32, of 11 Tracy Street, is charged with one count of second-degree assault, a felony.
Court documents state that McGregor punched Ronald L. Freeman in the jaw causing two separate breaks. The alleged assault took place in the Delmar parking lot on Aug. 30 at about 11:15 p.m.
Freeman told police in a statement that he saw a friend of McGregor’s drinking beer he brought behind the bar and asked to buy one. The man became irate and Freeman said he walked away but was confronted by McGregor and two others and was attacked.
McGregor was arraigned in Massena Village Court in front of Justice Eric Gustafson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton in lieu of $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond.
