MASSENA -- A village resident is charged after allegedly assaulting someone with a blunt object which led to the victim being hospitalized and a second suspect is sought, according to village police.
Arthur Lundrigan, 39, of 18 Park Avenue Apt. A was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at his residence.
Massena police Lt. Jason Olson said Lundrigan is accused of attacking another male on Jefferson Avenue, striking him several times with a blunt object, including in the head. The victim sustained abrasions, was treated at Massena Memorial Hospital and later released, Olson said.
Olson said he did not want to release the motive yet because there is an ongoing investigation and police are seeking another suspect who allegedly was involved in the assault.
Lundrigan was arraigned in Massena court by Justice Patrick Serguson and released, police said.
