MASSENA -- State investigators are assisting in a fire investigation on State Highway 420 late Wednesday night.
Massena volunteers responded to a fire at 2224 State Highway 420 at 9:56 p.m.
At least one person was trapped inside the structure upon arrival. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office has since said the person died.
The victim was removed and transported from the scene and was receiving CPR on the way to the hospital. Massena Fire Department was back in service at 12:57 a.m.

Massena Fire Department directed calls to St. Lawrence County Emergency Services.
Citing The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, officials said further details regarding the victim could not yet be released. However, WWNY is reporting a fatality.
