MASSENA -- Massena Fire Department quickly extingiushed a vehicle fire late this afternoon.
Chief Bill Kearns said a van at 28 Beach St. ignited while its owner's brother was working on it.
He said the man, who he only knew as Jonathan, was running a power drill while working near its gas tank.
"He's pretty sure that's what ignited it," Kearns said.
He said the van was off the road and nothing else was damaged in the fire that took about 10 minutes to extinguish.
Kearns said Jonathan suffered minor burns, was examined at the scene and released.
