MASSENA -- The Town Council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday to discuss appointing a deputy town clerk and a permanent town assessor.
Town Supervisor Steve O’Shaughnessy said he hopes the board will vote to fill both positions.
The assessor’s position has been filled on an as-needed basis by Mike Ward, a town assessor who retired from his full-time post earlier this year but has remained on call.
O’Shaughnessy said they need the deputy clerk to fill in for Town Clerk Pamela Catanzarite, who is on temporary medical leave.
