MASSENA – The winners in the Massena Chamber of Commerce’s first Massena Winter Carnival Photo Contest have been announced.
Winners – Child Category
1st Place– Caitlin Layaw ‘Tranquility’
2nd Place– Emily Witkop ‘Sunset with Fin’
3rd Place– Laura Siddon ‘Iced In’
Winners – Adult Category
1st Place– Ross Johnson ‘Winter on the River’
2nd Place– Travis MacDonald ‘Hay Bales of Fall’
3rd Place– Marilyn Gollinger ‘Iced Tree’
People’s Choice – Child Category: Laura Siddon ‘Iced In’
People’s Choice – Adult Category: Ross Johnson ‘Winter on the River’
“We are so pleased with all the wonderful photos that were submitted,” said Chamber President Miriam Catapano. “Our judges told us it was very difficult to make a decision, as did many of the individuals who came in to vote for the People’s Choice.”
She said the chamber was garteful to all those whose entered and those who voted, and “especially our judges, Larry Prashaw, Bob Beckstead and Nathan Lashomb.”
The winning photos will be on display at the Hawkins Point Visitors Center & Boat Launch on Jan. 25 and 26.
