Massena High’s Brandon Gambril sang his way to first place in the Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club Fall Talent Show
OGDENSBURG -- Brandon Gambril, a senior at Massena Central School, edged out Potsdam's Troy O'Brien at the Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club Fall Talent Show.
Gambril took first place while Potsdam Central School 11th grader O'Brien, a past winner of the Ogdensburg show, took second place.
Kaitlyn LaShomb, an 11th grader from Heuvelton Central School, who sang and accompanied herself on the piano, took third in the highly competitive eight-person senior high division.
With 24 acts from across St. Lawrence and Franklin counties, representing Ogdensburg, Madrid-Waddington, Potsdam, St. Lawrence Central, Massena, Heuvelton, Salmon River Central School and Veritas Press Scholars Academy, the fall show offered the most competitive field in the show's almost two decade history.
Allexa Hooper, a sixth grader from Ogdensburg, took first place in the middle school division. Gage Rand took second place while Brianna Hammond and Gabriella Scott, a sixth grade Madrid-Waddington Central School duet, took third place.
In the elementary division, Morgan Sabre, a fifth grader from Madrid-Waddington Central School, took first place in the competitive eight act field.
Rylee Bresett and Lynee Lesperance, fourth graders from Ogdensburg, took second.
A group of third graders, Kennedy Sloan, Rosie Jeneault, Samara LaFlair, Hailey Reed, Taylor Bell and Sierra LaFlair took third place in the elementary division.
