MASSENA -- There is a vacancy on the Massena Central School Board of Education.
School Board Trustee Rhonda Rodriguez resigned from her seat citing “personal obligations,” Superintendent Patrick Brady said.
He said they can either hold a special election or appoint someone until the May school board vote.
“I expect the board at its next meeting in August will make a determination of the process we will use,” Brady said. “Normal procedure here in Massena has been to appoint someone to fill out the remainder of the year rather than fill out a special election process, which tends to get expensive.”
The seat’s term expires in 2020.
