MASSENA — The Massena Central Board of Education on Thursday approved spending slightly over $60,000 on a capital outlay project at the district print shop.
The project will replace transformer and equipment at the print shop, along with doors and windows, Superintendent Patrick Brady said.
The board voted to award a $52,900 general construction contract to Northern Tier Construction.
They also voted to grant the $8,900 electrical contract to Watson Electric.
They were each low bidders, Brady said.
“Now that the board has accepted the bids, we’ll work on a start date with the contractors. It will be later in the spring,” the superintendent said.
