MASSENA -- Two brothers were charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated early Tuesday morning, one of which was collared after allegedly showing up drunk at the police station to pick up the other, according to village police.
Chris R. Lefrancois, 42, of 128 Quenell Rd., Massena was charged with driving while intoxicated, illegal signal from a sparked position and failure to keep right. He was charged at 12:58 a.m. following a traffic stop on South Main Street.
His blood alcohol level was not available. The threshold for aggravated driving while intoxicated is .18 percent.
Mark S. Lefrancois, 46, of 111 Main St., Massena was also charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle at 3:02 a.m. after allegedly driving drunk to the village police station.
Police said his blood alcohol level was .27 percent.
Each was released with appearance tickets for Massena Village Court.
