MASSENA -- Town Bookkeeper Nancy Fregoe participated in her last Town Council meeting on Wednesday.
She is planning to retire the following week after 26 years on the job.
“The knowledge she has here in incredible, we call on her every day,” Town Supervisor Joe Gray said at the meeting. “We certainly wish you the best. We feel deeply for you on a personal level as well as what you’ve done for the town.”
Councilman Steve O’Shaughnessy gave Fregoe a potted bouquet of flowers from the board as a congratulation.
