Massena and Ogdensburg school districts are asking other North Country districts to wear boots on June 5 for “Operation Boots on the Ground,” a fundraiser for Disabled American Veterans.
The groups are choosing that day because it is the last school day before the 71st anniversary of the D-Day invasion, June 6.
Last year, Massena faculty and staff participated and raised about $2,100 after receiving $800 from the NYSUT Albany office.
