POTSDAM -- Martin LaFleur of Potsdam graduated with an honors degree from the Clarkson University Honors Program recently.

LaFleur was a biomolecular science major. He completed an honors thesis titled “Functionalized nanoparticles for use in cancer therapy.”

After Clarkson, Martin will attend Harvard University to pursue a PhD in immunology.

Clarkson's Honors Program is a four-year curriculum built upon current and emerging problems in science, technology and society.

The university admits a maximum of 40 new students to the honors program each year. All graduating students must complete an honors thesis, which is an original research or scholarship of publishable quality, as well as a service requirement.
