POTSDAM — Potsdam police said that the person sought in connection to a damaging the drive-through at Key Bank on Elm Street has made contact with police.
Police said that a driver caused “substantial damage” Oct. 27 around 9 p.m. after colliding with the pneumatic tube system at the drive-through.
The suspect allegedly was driving a light-colored Ford pickup outfitted with a black diamond-plate flatbed and large chrome toolbox. The pickup was towing a black, dual-axle Maxum trailer which was loaded with firewood.
Police did not identify the suspect and officers said no charges were expected to be filed at this time.
The man contacted police after observing his photo on Facebook along with an article, police said.
