A man was jailed on $10,000 bail following a Friday dispute at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, according to Potsdam Police.
Lawrence J. Dame, 47, of Plattsburgh, was charged with unlawful imprisonment, unlawful possession of marijuana, harassment and attempted criminal mischief at 6:46 p.m. Police responded to Canton-Potsdam Hospital Rehab for a subject out of control, attempting to damage property.
Patrols responded and through further investigation found that the suspect, when confronted by a counselor regarding possessing marihuana in the facility, attempted to prevent the counselor from leaving the room.
When the counselor attempted to leave the room the suspect attempted to physically restrain the counselor.
