STOCKHOLM -- A Winthrop man was injured Thursday after allegedly driving drunk with a blood alcohol content of more than two times the legal limit.

Scott E. Sweeney, 41, of Buckton Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right.

St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies say the charges followed an accident that left Sweeney with minor injuries.

Deputies said Sweeney had a BAC of .21 of 1 percent. The legal limit is .08.

He was released on an appearance ticket.
