FINE — St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies said a man suffered injuries after the snowmobile he was operating collided with a group of deer near Cranberry Lake on Friday.
Deputies said Michael J. Rank, Albany, was driving a 2017 Ski Doo when he came upon several deer but was unable to avoid a collision.
Rank was ejected from the snowmobile and suffered a broken femur during the incident, officers said.
He was transported by Star Lake Rescue to Clifton-Fine Hospital and then transferred to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for further medical treatments, deputies said.
