CANTON – A Niagara Falls man has been charged with bringing cocaine into the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
County Drug Task Force detectives have charged Gilbert D. Murdoch, 40, with first-degree promoting prison contraband, a felony, and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The county Sheriff’s Office reports Murdoch was arrested at about 10 a.m. Wednesday with a small amount of cocaine that he allegedly brought into the jail.
Murdoch was arraigned in Canton Town Court was ordered held on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond, and is due back in court May 6.
