STOCKHOLM -- Massena-based state police said they charged a man with possession of LSD on Haack Road Tuesday morning.
Troopers responded to an unrelated investigation at 214 Haack Road and located Sean M. Nelson, 19, Penacook, N.H. in a blue 1998 Honda Civic. The vehicle was sitting near the end of the driveway of the house and had its emergency four-way lights activated, officers said.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies arrived on scene to assist, troopers said.
During the initial interview with Nelson, he immediately admitted to consuming LSD earlier in the evening, police said.
Nelson was found in possession of approximately 0.1 grams of LSD as well as a multi-colored glass smoking pipe with marijuana residue, a silver container with marijuana residue and a copper colored grinder with marijuana, troopers said.
Penacook was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana at 2:15 a.m.
He was arraigned before Brasher Justice Burns and released to the supervision of probation to appear in Stockholm court Feb. 1 at 6 p.m.
