CANTON – A Massachusetts man has been charged with felony assault second degree for allegedly punching another inmate at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in the face.
St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday charged Doland R. Sylvia, 26, Palmer Mass., in connection with the Dec. 26 incident.
The victim suffered a broken nose and black eyes, deputies said.
Sylvia was arraigned in Canton Village Court and returned to the jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond, deputies said.
