CANTON -- A Monday morning collision lead to a buggy driver suffering a serious head injury, state police said.
Around 6:43 a.m. that day, troopers responded to the intersection of county routes 15 and 16 following a report that vehicle and an Amish buggy collided there.
A buggy operated by two Amish males, Sammie S. Yoder, 18, of Dekalb, and Eli J. Zook, 21, of Brier Hill, was traveling south on county Route 15 when it was struck from behind by a 2003 GMC Sierra operated by Ryan T. Garno, 28, of Rensselaer Falls, troopers said.
Zook was flown to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for a serious head injury. He is in critical, but stable condition, troopers said.
Yoder and Garno were not injured.
The crash is under investigation.
