A Madrid-Waddington graduating senior's speech is again being used as a rallying cry for equitable funding of education at the state level.

The Statewide School Finance Consortium web page has again featured the speech made by student Elizabeth Ruddy.

This time it has added a photo and bio of Elizabeth, the video, and text of her speech advocating equitable funding of NYS education.

Elizabeth will deliver her speech at the Rally at the Egg on Feb. 29 in Albany.

In September 2011, she gave a well received speech with the themed“Don’t Turn Out the Lights on Education" during a rally at Massena Central.

The event was sponsored by the Massena Central School District, Massena Federation of Teachers, The Alliance for Quality Education, and New York State United Teachers.
