POTSDAM -- A Madrid-Waddington sixth-grader's bottle drive recently sponsored a cat adoption for someone seeking a pet.
Katelyn Pickering recently volunteered to do a bottle drive at her school.
She donated the proceeds to the Potsdam Humane Society, which will sponsor a cat adoption.
She chose an adult, marmalade-colored female with an extra toe named Mama Ginger. Whoever comes to adopt her will have the fee covered.
