POTSDAM – A man allegedly fleeing a domestic dispute has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of .33 percent.
That is more than four times the legal threshold for issuance of a DWI charge.
Lance Tlustos, 47, Madrid, was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI with another conviction in the last 10 years, harassment second-degree, criminal mischief, and third-degree criminal trespass. He was arraigned and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond.
Tlustos is accused of forcing his way into an apartment and then fled the scene when police were called.
After he fled, police caught up with him and tested him for blood alcohol, which they measured at .33 percent.
Potsdam police said they received a complaint of a domestic dispute at 6:16 p.m. Sunday at a Market Street address.
