MADRID – A local contractor has donated materials and time to give the shack at the Madrid Ice Rink new life.
The old shack was in bad shape, with roof shingles curled and torn, and little paint left on the outside walls.
Jason and Amber Fetterly, owners of JP's Demo and General Contracting, offered to rejuvenate the building for the community, and they, their crew, and volunteers got to work.
Megan Moulton, whose husband, Brian, operates the rink for the town, said Jason Fetterly “came up to him and asked if he could give back to his community and put metal on the roof and paint the ice rink for free.
“It is greatly appreciated and now this building looks outstanding and will be around for many more years for families to enjoy,” Moulton said.
