Madrid harvest festival features blacksmiths, steam engines, tractor pulls and more

Blacksmiths forge nails. Sawmill operators cut logs into lumber. Children experience a one room schoolhouse.

It was all a part of the 28th Annual Old Fashioned Harvest Days in Madrid on Saturday.

The event at the St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum, 1755 St. Hwy 345, Madrid, continues Sunday.

Among the many activities and exhibits are horse and tractor pulls, draft pony log skidding, and maple sugar house tours.
