POTSDAM -- Unionized LPN, technical, service & maintenance and clerical bargaining unit members are planning an informational picket Wednesday, Aug. 24, at entrances to the Canton-Potsdam Hospital on Leroy Street.
The hospital was informed of the plans by 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East Union.
"Canton-Potsdam Hospital remains respectful of and committed to honoring the negotiation process and keeping our focus at the negotiation table," said Jack Davis, C-PH’s Vice President of Human Resources.
"Discussions with the bargaining unit members continue to be very cordial and productive," Davis said.
Neighboring residents and visitors to the hospital can expect to see individuals with signs walking the sidewalks just outside the parking lot entrances between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day.
Pickets are not expected to cause inconvenience to those entering or exiting the parking area, and patient care will not be affected, the hospital’s communications office said.
