CANTON – Over $1,000 in prizes, including an overnight get-away to Lake Placid, could belong to the lucky purchasers of Canton Winterfest 2012 buttons.

The Canton Chamber of Commerce is again offering the popular Winterfest Buttons for $2 each at local businesses and at most Winterfest events from Feb. 9 to 18.

Purchase of a button gives the buyer a chance to win one of the many prizes.

Grand prize, an overnight get-away to Lake Placid, with one night’s stay at the Golden Arrow Best Western, is donated by the Canton Chamber of Commerce, plus $50 worth of gas donated by Stewart’s Shops in Canton.

Other prizes include Microsoft Lifecam VX-5000 donated by The Computer Guys; $150 Certificate to Coakley One Ace Hardware; $100 shopping spree at Save-A-Lot; TAUNY gift membership basket; 3-month Augsbury Fieldhouse pass donated by St. Lawrence University; two dinners for two at the Best Western University Inn; $50 gift certificate to Rex Hardware Store; $75 in Canton Gift Certificates donated by Community Bank; $50 in Canton Gift Certificates donated by North Country Savings Bank; a $50 Savings Bond donated by NBT Bank; Bluetooth keyboard case for iPod 2 donated by Kinney Drugs; gift basket donated by White’s Flowers; Coffee Gift Basket donated by Mountain Mart; dinner and a movie for two donated by Sylvia’s/Josie’s Pizzeria and the American Theater; $30 Gift Certificate to Ostrander’s Sheepskin Shop; and a 3-month pass to SUNY Canton Fitness Center.
