POTSDAM -- In 1907 you could see Clarkson and St. Lawrence University play for 25 cents.
The game started at eight o'clock sharp at the "Tech Rink." Research leads us to believe the Tech Rink was outdoors located in Ives Park, says Potsdam Village Historian Mimi Van Deusen. If anyone knows more about the location of the rink, the museum would like to hear from them.
A copy of an “Old Rivals” hockey poster courtesy of the Clarkson University Library and Archives is on view at the Potsdam Public Museum in the Hockey and Ice Skating Winter Exhibition.
February hours at the museum are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $1. Info: www.PotsdamPublicMuseum.org or 315-265-6910.
