RICHVILLE – The St. Lawrence County village of Richville has continued its steady rise and now stands at #17 as today is the last day of voting in the Reader’s Digest online contest.
The winner gets a $50,000 in development and support for community improvement, and Richville is hoping to win and build a playground to replace one that had to close.
As of today, Richville has more than 613,000 votes. They’ve been moving up slowly: two weeks ago they were in 24th spot. Last week, they had made it up to 21st.
Top dog remains Lake City, Iowa, with more than 4 million votes. Richville’s nearest competition in the North Country remains Lyons Falls, in Lewis County, in the 34th spot.
People may vote for Richville or another favorite community as many times as they like by going to wehearyouamerica.readersdigest.com and entering Richvile’s Zip Code, 13681, and following the instructions from there.
