OGDENSBURG -- Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is seeking volunteers in St. Lawrence County to visit with nursing or adult home residents, establish relationships with residents, and ensure that resident’s rights are not being violated.
Ombudsman volunteers are certified via the local program coordinator and staff that provide necessary certification training and also on-going training and support. Volunteers dedicate about four hours per week at the facility they are assigned to.
