OGDENSBURG – Wendy Long, GOP challenger to Democratic U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, heads the lineup as the St. Lawrence County Republican Committee hosts a “meet the candidates” night Wednesday, Oct. 3.
The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Freight House Restaurant, 20 Market St., Ogdensburg.
The committee will also be presenting its Betsy Kaplan Award, named for the late county chairwoman.
The price for the evening is $25 per person.
Many GOP candidates in the November election will be present.
Also present will be Matt Doheny, the GOP choice to run against Congressman Bill Owens.
State Senators Betty Little, Joe Griffo, and Patty Ritchie, and Assembly members Janet Duprey, Ken Blankenbush and Marc Butler are all scheduled to appear, along with the four GOP candidates for state Supreme Court for the 4th Judicial District.
