POTSDAM -- Two community members were honored last month with the 2017 SuperSOARer Award, given to SOAR members who have "contributed significantly to the organization," the club said.
The award was presented to Kay Russell and Brenda Francey, who recognized a need in 2003 for classes offering rigorous mental activity in a social setting; their mah jongg classes have been filling that need for 12 years.
The lunch was held at SUNY Potsdam’s Barrington Student Union.
