Northern TRIBS swim club travelled with 14 members to Clifton Park at the Shenendehowa Aquatic Center to compete in the 2017 Chris Goody IMX Challenge Jan. 14-15.
Senior swimmers completed the 500-meter freestyle, 400-meter individual medley, 200 butterfly, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley. The team dropped nine minutes from all their events combined.
Age group winners:
• First place for age nine and under girls - Gretchen Braun of Lisbon
• First place for 14-year-old boys - Paul Braun of Lisbon
• First place for 18-year-old boys - Jesse Braun of Lisbon
• Second place for 14-year-old boys - Leon Lufkin of Potsdam
• Third place for 11-year-old boys - Seth Braun of Lisbon
• Fourth place for 14-year-old girls - Julia Domena of Waddington
Paul, Seth and Gretchen Braun will go to the University of Maryland Jan. 27-29 to compete in the Northeast IMX Games.
