The Local Living Venture will host local baker Christoff Bemis for "How to Bake Delicious Homemade Bread: On The Rise!" on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The hands-on baking workshop will cover creating a whole grain bread recipe or two and other extras you can employ such as nuts and oats. The second baking event is called "Nutritious Delicious” and will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Potsdam.
Presenter Paula M. Youmell will show attendees how to convert their existing baked goods recipes to healthier whole foods, and will also give you fuel to kick the sugar habit.
The fee per workshop is $22 for general public, $40 per couple and $10 for students. Scholarship/reduced rate available upon request. Register: LocalLivingVenture@gmail.com or call 347-4223 to reserve a spot.
