In the newest North Country Matters, the local public affairs video magazine, Local Living Venture organizer Chelle Lindahl talks with NCM host Donna Seymour about the work the organization does. They focus on two projects this fall, the Renewable Energy & Green Home Tours slated for Sunday, October 15, and the Pollinator Partnership program, to encourage area residents to commit a certain square footage of their garden, or acreage of their property, for pollinator-friendly plantings.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Green Home tour and it has expanded into three areas with three focuses. New this year is grid-tied solar homes which are featured in the Canton and Potsdam area. There are also green homes in the Jefferson County on the tour, as well as homes in the Adirondacks.
North Country Matters is a local public affairs video magazine now in its 13th year. The NCM civic partners working to educate North Country residents about critical public policy issues facing our region include AAUW-St. Lawrence County, the League of Women Voters of St. Lawrence County, and the Potsdam Public Library. The shows are filmed in the Fred W. Cleveland Computer Center at the Potsdam Library.
New shows this fall will include Conversations with candidates for St. Lawrence County District Attorney race, Tess Barker from Planned Parenthood of the North Country, Aging in Place, North Country 360, among others.
