AKWESASNE – Card players will have a chance to represent the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Nev.

“Each year this tournament grows stronger and we are just waiting for the next WSOP winner to be from our property,” Poker Manager Bryan Garrow said.

Each Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort Poker qualifier will be flown to Las Vegas for the WSOP tournament which will be held between July 7 and July 16, 2013.

The prize offered by the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort is valued at $15,000 and will include the entry fee for this exclusive event.

Qualifiers will be held in the poker room March 30 and June 15, 2013 starting at 2 p.m.

The entry to each qualifier is $330 US funds.

“It’s truly exciting for the entire property knowing that these qualifiers could ultimately lead to one of locals possibly winning a gold bracelet,” Garrow said.
