CANTON -- Little River Community School, County Route 25, will host an open house Wednesday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m. Childcare and refreshments will be provided. There will be an informal discussion about the program and the philosophy of the school and time for questions and answers.
Little River Community School describes themselves as a K-12 alternative school with a cooperative, multi-age learning environment and an 8:1 student teacher ratio. The school features hands-on experience, field trips, strong academic classes and student input.
The school provides services and support for families who want to school at home including in-school opportunities and curriculum support.
The school has openings for the fall 2015/2016 school year in grades K-4. Tuition aid, up to nearly one half off the full price, is available to lower and middle-income families.
