Saint Michael's College student Rachael Bowdish, daughter of Megan and Raymond Bowdish of Lisbon, is studying abroad in Capetown, South Africa, for the spring 2012 semester.
Bowdish, a junior sociology major, is studying at University of Western Cape in Capetown.
Bowdish graduated from Lisbon Central School before coming to Saint Michael's.
More than a third of Saint Michael's students take advantage of the opportunity to spend a semester, academic year or summer abroad.
The college, in Colchester, Vt., offers programs in five categories: language programs, university liberal studies courses, international service programs, internship programs and field study programs.
