ALEXANDRIA – A Lisbon man was killed Monday afternoon after his 2009 Jeep went off the road and struck a utility pole, according to state police.
Police said Frank R. Martin, 63, was traveling north on NYS Hwy. 37 in Redwood when the accident occurred shortly before 5:53 p.m.
He went off the east shoulder and the impact sheared off the utility pole, police said.
Martin was extricated by Redwood fire department members and transported to River Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
